That's so cool! 🎉
Thank you that's so kind! There's no correct answer on which way is the best to do a portfolio, but I def learned that it is key to tell great stories in our line of business as creatives. 😎
This has been a long time coming. I used to have imposter syndrome knowing everyone around me are from design schools with solid portfolios and such. But for me, I've come to realize I am not like anyone else, and I don't have to be like everyone else.
And in fact, no one should have a dream of being like everyone else but themselves. That's why I take on a teaching gig, doing panel discussions, workshops, and mentorships (on ADPList). I also write on Medium, doing what I can to inspire and encourage more aspired and like-minded to break the wall. ✊ 💪
Just in case you're wondering:
What types of design work do you specialize in?
How long have you been working in the design industry?
How does research fit in your design process?
What are the words people often use when they talk about you at work?
As a product designer, how much do you know and how well do you work on design systems?
What do you care about the most on a design job?
You're the most welcome! If anything, please feel free to reach me at shawnzpdeng@gmail.com
